Lyrics

I Haven't Forgotten

Aug 30, 2009 01:14 AM

written by John Dotson

1st Verse:

The ship of Zion is sailing on by.
It has some treacherous miles yet to go in this sea of life.
Some want to turn back or jump overboard
but I know where I’ve been.
It may look a bit rough up ahead,
but I’ll stay with the ship.

Chorus:

I haven’t forgotten what the Lord’s done for me.
He found me drifting, about to go down in the midst of sins sea.
Without His lifeline, where would I be ?
I’d be face down, sunk to the bottom.
No, I haven’t forgotten.

2nd Verse

Let’s throw out the sin and lighten the load.
Leave everything from this world behind,
there’s just a few miles to go.
Let’s not leave this vessel,
no matter the cost.
Jesus paid for our passage,
if we stay in the boat, not a soul will be lost.

Repeat Chorus

Tag:

Lord, I’d still be lost without you, I haven’t forgotten.
I haven’t forgotten.
